Avery LaBarbera is a 5-foot-6 guard for the Wisconsin Badgers Women's Basketball team. She is a transfer from Holy Cross and was named the 2021-22 Patriot League Player of the Year. She was also named two-time All-Patriot League Second Team in 2019 and 2020, as well as 2020 Patriot League All-Defensive Team, and 2018 Patriot League All-Rookie Team. Avery scored over 1,000 points and recorded over 500 rebounds in her college career. She was also named two-time Patriot League Academic Honor Roll in 2019 and 2020. Avery is from Harrison, New York and attended Harrison High School. In high school, she was named all-league four years, all-section three years and Second Team All-State as a junior.
