Merritt Beason is a 6-foot-3 outside hitter for the Florida Gators women’s volleyball team. She is from Gardendale, Alabama and attended Gardendale High School. In 2021, Merritt was named to the All-SEC Freshman team. Beason was ranked No. 90 in Prep Volleyball 2021 Top 150 and was named to the 2020 American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) All-American Watch List. Merritt graduated in the Top 10% of her class with an advanced diploma and is a two-time AAU Academic All-American (2017, 2018). She served as a volunteer coach for the Bragg Middle School volleyball team and provides volleyball lessons for the youth in her hometown.
