1970 San Diego State vs. Brigham Young Artwork: Puzzle

This game was played October 3rd, 1970 at San Diego Stadium between the San Diego State Aztecs and Brigham Young Cougars. The Aztecs won the matchup by a final score of 31-11. Long before it was officially named SDSU, the San Diego Normal School began using the Aztec name for its mascot in 1925. It wasn’t until 1941 that the mascot evolved into the depiction that’s recognizable today of Montezuma, the warrior who ruled the Aztecs in the early 1500s. The Aztec warrior has been referred to by the nicknames "Monty" and "Zuma," which reference the word Montezuma.
