This game was played on November 8, 1947 at Notre Dame Stadium between the #9 Army Black Knights and #1 Notre Dame Fighting Irish. Notre Dame won the matchup by a score of 27-7. Notre Dame finished 9-0 on the season and were National Champions. 1946 Outland Trophy Winner George Connor starred for the Irish.
