The Georgia Bulldogs football program, representing the University of Georgia, competes in American football at the NCAA Football Bowl Subdivision (FBS) level within the Southeastern Conference's (SEC) Eastern Division. They play home games at Sanford Stadium on the Athens, Georgia campus. With four consensus national championships (1942, 1980, 2021, 2022) and three national champion titles each from the AP and Coaches Polls (1980, 2021, 2022), Georgia has also been recognized as a national champion by at least one polling authority in four other seasons (1920, 1927, 1946, 1968). The Bulldogs have clinched 16 conference championships, including 14 in the SEC, marking the second-most in conference history. Their participation in 61 bowl games is the second-most all-time. The program boasts two Heisman Trophy winners, five NFL number-one draft picks, and numerous other national award recipients. Known for rich traditions and a fervent fan base, referred to as the "Bulldog Nation," Georgia has won over 860 games, ranking them 9th all-time in wins, and they've secured Top 10 finishes in the AP Poll 27 times, including 14 Top 5 finishes.
