Gonzaga University's men's basketball program, the Gonzaga Bulldogs, plays in the West Coast Conference of NCAA Division I. The team competes at the McCarthey Athletic Center on the Gonzaga campus in Spokane, Washington. Gonzaga has produced numerous standout players, with 15 WCC Player of the Year award recipients, including two national scoring leaders: Frank Burgess in 1961 and Adam Morrison in 2006. Morrison was also named Co-National Player of the Year for the 2005-06 season. In recent decades, Gonzaga has established itself as a dominant basketball team in a mid-major conference. Since 1999, they have made it to every NCAA tournament, including a Cinderella run to the Elite Eight in 1999. Additionally, the team has appeared in every final AP poll since 2008-09 and every weekly poll since 2016-17. Their 115-week streak is the 13th longest in men's basketball history, and the longest active streak in the nation, second only to Marquette's 166-week streak from 1970-1980. Gonzaga has also made all but one WCC conference title game since 1995, winning 16 of them. Their success culminated in two Final Four appearances, the first in 2016-17, where they advanced to the national championship game before losing to North Carolina, and the second in 2021, where they lost in the final to Baylor.
