The 1978 Peach Bowl was a college football postseason bowl game between the Purdue Boilermakers and the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets. Purdue finished 2nd in the Big Ten Conference with an 8-2-1 record and was making it's first bowl appearance since the 1967 Rose Bowl victory over USC. Purdue defeated Georgia Tech 41-21.
