The Badgers ice hockey team competes in the Big Ten Conference. The Badgers six national titles, including the 1977 NCAA National Championship, ranks fourth best in college hockey history. Their most recent national championship came in 2006 when the Badgers defeated the Boston College Eagles 2–1 at the Bradley Center in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
