The 1963 game marked the 30th anniversary of the inaugural All-Star Game played in Chicago in 1933. The game featured twenty-two future Baseball Hall of Famers including Mickey Mantle, Willie Mays, Stan Musial, Sandy Koufax, Roberto Clemente, Hank Aaron, Don Drysdale, Warren Spahn, Juan Marichal, Duke Snider, Willie McCovey, Ron Santo, Carl Yastrzemski, Harmon Killebrew, and Brooks Robinson.
