BEST GAMEDAY TAILGATE: “MICHIGAN MADE”
It was still dark out when the Vintage Team took to the tailgating lot that day. And they weren’t alone! Despite the chill on that early Saturday morning, crowds of committed Michiganers had dragged themselves out of bed without complaint to fire up the grill, roll out the games, and get the party started.
Notorious for being one of the most eclectic in the country, Michigan’s tailgate had something for everyone. A semi-truck sized party bus complete with kegs and a rooftop dancefloor. A fan in full Storm Trooper attire. “Margarita Don,” revving up his diesel-powered blender for all. Endless amounts of drinks and food to share. But our favorite part? The games. Michigan had by far the best tailgate games around, with constant matches of cornhole, beer pong, flag football, and ladder ball in play.
WELCOME TO THE BIG HOUSE
It seemed like a shame for any of these rabid Wolverine fanatics to be dressed (and painted) to the nines in maize and blue but not have an official Michigan drink in hand! So the Team came prepared with plenty of free Vintage koozies in hand - and were swarmed at every tent as we made our way through the lot!
The Wolverine tailgating experience was Midwestern to a T - all about the community. Wolverines fans really didn’t care what color anyone’s face was painted, as long as they were there to share a great time. We could barely take a step without being invited to a game of cornhole, or offered a burger and a laugh!
THE MOST A-MAIZE-ING TAILGATE
Win or lose, we have to admit that the best thing about Michigan’s gameday was…the pregame. At the end of the day, Wolverines fans understand well that there’s always a chance with football that your team will lose. But you’ll will never lose the memories made at a great tailgate.
